Nigeria will get $12.5 million from FIFA for qualifying for the World cup scheduled to hold in Russia in 2018 . From this morning, $2.5 million has been scheduled to go into the preparations of the Nigerian National team. The team will get more money should they reach the knockout stage of the tournament, just like in 1994 and 2014.
However, the coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, believes that with better preparation that the super eagles will do well at the tournament next year. He advises the 37 players and officials who played or helped in the qualifiers to show solidarity and commitment. He also warns against the delay of allowances and bonus which might be a stumbling block to their collective struggle, and something that might prevent the team from performing excellently at the tournament.
